Call for Artists (55+)
The Canton Regency invites emerging and established artists age 55 and older to submit original work for America 250: Reflections of America, a curated exhibition honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary.
This exhibition celebrates America through the eyes of those who have lived it—welcoming artwork that reflects the country’s identity, traditions, and spirit.
Theme: A Reflection of America
Artists are invited to interpret America in both patriotic and personal ways.
Submissions may include:
- Patriotic imagery such as red, white, and blue, flags, or national symbols
- American landscapes, towns, and landmarks
- Military service and national pride
- Family traditions, heritage, and community life
- Handcrafted work rooted in American tradition, including quilting, textiles, woodworking, and other artisan forms
- Personal reflections of life in America, including memories, values, and lived experiences
Artwork may be literal or interpretive but should clearly connect to American identity, culture, or experience.
Accepted Media
Painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, fiber art/textiles (including quilts), and select sculpture
Submission Requirements
- Artist name and contact information
- 3–5 images of artwork
- Title, medium, dimensions, and price (if applicable)
- Short artist bio
- Brief statement describing how the work reflects America
Upon Acceptance to the Exhibition
All artwork must be provided “ready to hang.” Artwork delivered unframed, without wire, D-rings, loops for textiles or another professional display method will be returned.

Artist Notification: June 2–3
Artwork Drop-Off: June 16–18
Exhibition Dates: June 25–August 10

June 25 | 4:30-7 p.m.
Welcome Remarks at 5:30 p.m.
